Kalisha

Kalisha Bingham-Marshall is a Manager of Resident Development at the Nashville Teacher Residency. As a Site Manager, Kalisha is primarily responsible for coaching and supporting NTR Residents at the school sites.

Kalisha began her career as a Middle Grades Math Teacher in West TN. She spent her first eight years in Bolivar, Memphis, and Jackson, teaching 5th through 8th grade. Returning home to Clarksville in 2019, she continued teaching Mathematics and took on the roles of Resident Mentor and Grade Level Math Lead for several years. Eager to progress as a math teacher, she added on her Secondary Math certification and began teaching Middle School honor Algebra classes. Before leaving CMCSS, she attained a level 5 score of teaching effectiveness in 8th-grade mathematics, had the 2nd highest Algebra scores in the district, and was voted Teacher of the Year for Kenwood Middle School. Throughout her teaching years, Kalisha participated in the SCORE Educator Fellowship, TECA Ready to Lead Fellowship, and TCAP Item review committees and taught state standards training for TNDOE to Tennessee Educators.

Kalisha holds a Bachelor’s in Middle Grades Education from The University of Tennessee-Martin and is pursuing a Master's in Education with a concentration in Middle-Grade Mathematics from Walden University.
