As Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships, Matt Cheek leads the relationships and fundraising work of our program. Matt works to build the NTR brand and strengthen relationships between NTR, Partner Schools, Mentor Teachers, Residents, and Alumni in this role. He approaches relationship building with creativity and joy, using these passions to bring together a coalition of supporters to NTR. In addition to this portion of his position, Matt supports Residents and Mentor Teachers in several partner schools. He also leads our Instructional Methods course, where Residents learn the key practices and habits of an effective teacher.
Before joining NTR, Matt worked in Lake City, South Carolina, and Knoxville, Tennessee.
