As a Manager of Resident Development, Lemuel Holifield trains and supports Residents and Mentor Teachers in serval partner schools across Nashville and Clarksville. He also supports our Science Methods classes. Before joining NTR, Lemuel worked in both the public and private school settings. Most recently, he served as Head of STEM department at Templeton Academy. In this role, he served as a mentor to teachers and developed the curriculum and long term vision. He is a board member for Tennessee Educators of Color Alliance (TECA), which focuses on promoting equitable outcomes and excellence in education. With TECA, he served as a consultant for schools and higher education programs, with the express goal of improving diversity and equity within education. Lemuel also works closely with Educators Cooperative as a member of the Advisory Committee. Lemuel holds a Bachelor of Biology and Exercise Sports Science from the University of the Cumberlands. He is currently a member of the Ayers Fellowship at Lipscomb, participating in the Master of Educational Leadership program.
